VPA Program Calendar

Unless otherwise noted, these are member-only events. Visit our membership page for information on how to become a member of the VPA.

July 20	field trip to San Francisco to tour the Spencer House, 1080 Haight Street. Carpooling is suggested. We will have several places to choose from for lunch, and then meet at the Spencer House at 2 p.m. for the tour.
August	summer break, no meeting is planned.
September	Social meeting with a potluck picnic, and tours of the Grant Ranch House at Grant Park on Mt. Hamilton
October 23rd	Collectable Holiday Memorabilia w/ Steve Yvaska - At the historic Wing House owned by Manual Lima - House opens for viewing at 7:00pm, VPA business 7:30pm, program to start at 8:00pm till 9:00pm. Steve will share the gems of his personal collection with the group. Members are welcome to bring one antique item that is holiday related.
Oct (date tbd)	Haunt the Hollow At the Hill House in History Park Senter Road, San Jose Come in costume to greet the hundreds of children as they trick-or-treat in History Park & Happy Hollow. We'll decorate the Hill House in Autumn/Halloween slendour and hand candy out to our little visitors from the porch. This is so much fun!
Nov 16th	Tea & Victorian Ornament Making Party At the historic Reed House (owned by Miranda & Diana). Event begins at 1:00pm. Tea served at 1:30, then we'll dive into making handmade Victorian styled Christmas ornaments to sell at the upcoming Holiday Bazzaar at History Park. All proceeds raised by ornament sales benefit the Hill House operating fund. Bring a tasty offering for the tea table and any crafting/scrapbooking supplies you might have, and let's have a rollicking good time!
Nov 29 - Dec 21	(weekends only) The Great Dicken's Faire at the Cow Palace, South San Francisco. We are working on getting discount tickets for members. More information will appear in the newsletter closer to the date.
